A Meal Fit For A Queen, King, Author…Celeb?

For those of you that don’t know, I take in social media like glasses of water.  It’s what I do for a living, and it’s highly fitting that I spend time looking at trends and topics on sites like Twitter and Facebook.  That also means that I encounter plenty of crap.  And when I say “crap,” I’m being generous.

(Stick with me, I’ll talk about food in a moment.)

I just read something about a certain celebrity who shall remain nameless.  He seems endlessly angry and can’t seem to control his impulses, most notably on Twitter.  What’s most distressing is that his followers are even bigger bullies, and have taken to threatening a comedienne that questioned him.  And by “threat,” I mean all have they want this woman to die by their own hand.  (Sigh…)

So now I’m in downshift mode.  It’s a required practice when wading through chronic online negativity.  Swimming though crap can get you down after awhile.  Or one can simply turn it around by focusing on a positive element.  Stir in a bit of food blogger, then a dash of optimism, and you’ve got a new and delicious conversation.

For the angry man in question, I’d like to make him a meal.  One that’s full of calming properties, is healthy and full of whole foods to feed his body and soul.  But why would I spend my valuable time making a meal for a douchebag?

Let’s shift this direction a bit more, (we are about bending this discussion to one that serves us):  that got me thinking about making a delicious healthy meal for a historic figure, family member, author, actor, friend…you get where I’m going with this, right?

Who would I cook for?  Anyone in the world past or present?

I’d make my Peanut Butter Cups recipe for my Grandma Helen.  She passed away in 1994, and I would give anything to have her back and in my kitchen.  Especially because she would provide unsolicited instruction on how to make it better.
