Tell me what you see when looking at this picture.

It looks like a creamy, cool bowl of ice cream with a velvety chocolate sauce, right? Wrong.

This entire dish is made out of bananas, almond butter, pure maple syrup, cacao powder and nuts. No processed sugar, no dairy, no chemicals and nothing but heaven in your mouth.

What I adore most about eating this on a 100 degree day, is that I can have one bowl. And then another. And one more if it suits the moment.

Why should you make this for your girlfriend, wife or date? Number one, because you adore her. Two, because it is a safe assumption to believe that she’ll love this (provided she loves bananas and chocolate). Three, because she’ll immediately be grateful you made something special and healthy for her. These kinds of efforts make you look like an extremely loveable man to her.

And when you eat this together, you’re doing something very good for your bodies. Eating a few bowls traditional ice cream might result in bloating, gas, or lethargy also known as the food coma. Which we can all agree is the following: ≠ sexy.

Thanks to Sarah at the FitnHealthy blog for allowing me to share this wonderful and healthy treat with you.

And if you’re a woman who wants her man to make this for her, SHARE IT.

Ingredients
  1. 3 frozen bananas (make sure they are very ripe with brown, freckled skin)
  2. 1 tablespoon of almond or peanut butter (almond is my favorite)
  3. 1 tablespoon of PURE maple syrup rice syrup, honey or agave
  4. 1 tablespoon of cacao powder (scroll to the bottom and find out where to buy it)
  5. chopped almonds or peanuts (as much as you like, but a handful per bowl will do)
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, mix your preferred sweetener with the cacao powder until it turns into a smooth chocolate sauce (you can also add a tiny bit water).
  2. Add the frozen bananas to your blender, blend them with peanut butter until it's a creamy texture.
  3. Pour the chocolate/cacao sauce over the banana "ice cream."
  4. Sprinkle this dessert/breakfast/lunch/dinner with your favorite nuts, and you are ready!
