Food can enhance your relationships. I know this for a fact, because I’m a certified food sexologist. My degree is from the University of Los Angeles of My Kitchen/Restaurants/Mom. Actually, it’s a double major, which stems from 15 years of relationships with men.

My name’s Mona Holmes-Nisker. I’ve been a LA-based healthy food writer since 2008.  (That’s me in the top right corner.) 

The truth is, many like the idea of eating well – but don’t want to hear the word “healthy” and “food” in the same sentence.

When figuring out what would motivate people to eat healthier, I came up with Cook This…Get Laid in late 2011.  It’s cooking/relationship advice for men.  Thanks to many years of dating, a ten-year relationship and five years of marriage, I realized what every man wants: more sex.  If you’re shocked, you should probably stop reading. But if you’re chuckling to yourself, then you know the truth:  men are unequivocally motivated by sex.  And if there’s any way to get men to do more about eating healthy, the best way to incentivize them is to make sure sex is somewhere in the equation.

What’s also funny, is that so many of my readers are women!  And so many of them keep thanking me for talking openly about how we also enjoy sex too.  They especially love the idea of getting a good meal cooked for them too.  Put it all together, and what do you get? A blog called Cook This…Get Laid.

But the choice is key.  With so many cookbooks, food shows, blogs and resources out there – how do you know what recipes will work?  There are even a few of cookbooks written BY men claiming to show other men how to get us women to ‘give it up’ by utilizing food.  To me, this is the blind leading the blind.  Wouldn’t you prefer to get your information right from a female source?

Here’s what I love about Cook This…Get Laid.  Watch what happens when you cook her these healthy recipes on a regular basis.  She starts to have more energy, she starts to lose weight (maybe both of you do), it’s a win-win all around.  And with no harmful side effects.

The Cooking Channel is food porn to me.  I get lost in food magazines and blogs to the point where I don’t even hear my phone ring.  This is my passion, my job, my ultimate mission.  I search far and wide for cooking shows, food articles, cookbooks and food blogs, along with the best recipes and resources.  My goal is to get you to COOK THIS, so you will GET LAID.

I also blog for The Huffington Post, guest and ghost blog for a few others – I’m all food, all the time.
