My Vlog

In 2012, I started making videos with my husband.  NO! Not those kind of videos!!  (But of course he keeps asking.)

I’m talking about videos where he directed and edited, while I show my favorite recipes.  On video.

It was fun, but awkward!  I’m just not used to being in front of the camera.  So I just played around with him giving me direction.  But I’ve learned a few lessons, and look forward to Season 2, which is coming soon…

Peanut Butter Cups

I received TONS of responses about this one.  The worst being, “That’s NOT healthy.”  And truth be told, you’re better off staying away from sweets.  But if you’re going to do it, you may as well use dark chocolate and good quality or homemade peanut butter.  I coincidentally launched it on Peanut Butter Day, so it got more hits than I expected!

Does the cook seem a little too chilled out?  Yeah, I think so too.

Roast Chick For Your Chick

If my energy level was a little low in episode 1, I’ve got enough for the state of California in this one!  This is my go to recipe during cooler weather months.  Or not.  It’s just really good.  Everyone loves it.  (Hand patting back right now.)

Mulled Wine

We were in our friend’s gorgeous house in Palm Desert, complete with fruit trees – the perfect place to make web episodes!  And it’s not mold wine, MULLED WINE!  Warm, spicy and perfect for a winter night.  It’s traditionally sipped during Christmastime, but anytime between November and February snuggled up to your beloved sounds about right to me.

And believe it or not, I display my juggling ability here.  As if you needed more proof that I don’t take myself too seriously.

Shrimp Fra Diavolo Recipe

It’s spicy and easy.  This is the go to dish when you have little time to shop, prep and cook.  Actually, I am making this today.

Arugula Salad: A Fail Safe Cook This…Get Laid Recipe

My husband pissed me off earlier that day, so my attitude level is magnitude 9.2.

It’s Creamy, It’s Green, It’s Sexy: It’s GUACAMOLE

My happy dance comes in at 2:09.

Raw “Cheesecake” – a healthy dessert

Hey, we write cheesy scripts! But I have a tongue-in-cheek blog that talks about intimacy and food, along with a very silly husband/director/editor so I am perfectly allowed to write material like this.

I’d love to hear from you, let me know if there’s anything you’d like for me to try – just say the word: cookthisgetlaid (at) gmail (dot) com.

i can’t say that I’m trying to get laid, but I’m tnkihing this is not too shabby of an idea! It sounds delish and I’ll have to try this. And I would love for my man to do this for me, very thoughtful, and he would definitely score some major points!

I just love your blog! And your great recipes!!! I’m fortunate that I can cook but my wife cooks better than me!

you should do more recipes for busy moms who have 30 mins to get dinner started at least before their significant others get home and the kids start to get cranky
